What is the difference between deism and pantheism

He is found in all things and is contains all things. Pantheism claims that the world is God and God is the world. Pantheism is the supposition behind many non-Christian religions such as Buddhism and Hinduism, as well as several new age cults. Pantheism is not a biblical belief at all. There are several different types of Pantheism. Then there is Permeational Pantheism, which is also known as Zen Buddhism, and has been popularized in the Star Wars franchise.

Most pantheists believe that the afterlife is when you become a part of everything, reabsorbed into Everything. It sometimes is viewed like reincarnation and the achieving of Nirvana. Pantheists believe in the afterlife they lose all memory of their life and all consciousness. God is Omnipresent, but this is not pantheism. The Bible affirms that He is everywhere, but it does not mean that everything is God.

Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. You made the skies and the heavens and all the stars. You made the earth and the seas and everything in them. You preserve them all and the angels of heaven worship you. We can know with absolute certainty what God has revealed about Himself in His Word. The Bible teaches us that we are all born sinners.

God is a Holy, and we being sinners are unholy and cannot come near a Holy God. Our sin is treason against Him. God being a perfect and just Judge has to issue a righteous judgement upon us — and our punishment is eternity in Hell. But Christ paid the penalty for our treason and died upon a cross, and three days later He rose from the dead.

If we repent of our sins and put our faith in Christ we can be set free from the bondage of sin. We will be given a new heart with new desires.

And we will spend eternity with the Lord. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
